Microneedling
We offer our Orlando-area patients the latest in micro-needling treatment with SkinPen®. Our licensed esthetician, Alli Hare, is skilled in the use of this high-tech version of an age-old treatment.
Micro-needling works by applying tiny, precisely placed needles to your skin, creating points of contact with the deeper skin layers that jumpstarts your skin’s natural healing process. Similar to the way your skin reacts to quickly fill, heal and smooth over a cut or scratch, except that micro-needles don’t leave behind any trace they were there. They simply encourage the skin to bring up its natural collagen, elastin and rejuvenation power to the surface and repair it to a like-new, youthful state.
This is sometimes called collagen induction therapy, as it pulls collagen to the skin surface. It has good effectiveness at restoring age-damaged skin and improving your skin’s brightness, tone and clarity. Micro-needling can be used anywhere on the body, but is most commonly performed on the face, neck, and chest, and can address a wide variety of skin concerns, like aging, scarring, and uneven skin tone and texture.
Chemical Peels
Our licensed esthetician is experienced in several types of chemical peels, and which one you choose will depend on your individual needs and skincare issues. You’re in good hands no matter what, as chemical peels have been used for decades and are a proven, safe, fast and effective skin rejuvenation method.
The formulation, depth, and intensity of the peel used depends on your skin type, any skin conditions, and your aesthetic goals. But in general, chemical peels are a non-invasive way to improve your skin, and remove sun or age damage, or treat acne scarring. They, too, can be used anywhere on the body, but are most popular on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands to reduce lines, brighten skin tone, smooth your complexion, and strip away damaged, roughened skin from the surface.
During the chemical peel process, we use various formulas to gently treat the top layers of skin, where roughness, dullness and scarring are. The “chemicals” involved are naturally-occurring compounds in your body, such as lactic acid. Trained medical staff use these to remove that top layer, reveal smoother, brighter skin below, and speed skin healing by triggering your body’s natural healing process, just like micro-needling does.
Neither micro-needling nor chemical peels are permanent solutions; repeated treatments often can be booked, if you find that the results are what you’re looking for.
