BOTOX® reliably revitalizes the looks of users -all without surgery and its associated risk and recovery time.

Why BOTOX®?

BOTOX® cosmetic has become the go-to anti-aging treatment for women and men around the world, and it’s no surprise why. Patients who want to decrease frown lines, wrinkles and other signs of getting older all can benefit from BOTOX®.

BOTOX® gives you a chance to look as good on the outside as you feel inside.

At Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, we spend time with patients, review medical and treatment histories and then help them customize a BOTOX® treatment plan that best suits the patient’s goals and needs.

BOTOX® cosmetic has been in use since at least 2002, when it became the first botulinum toxin to receive approval from federal officials to treat the unwanted frown lines that can emerge between our eyebrows as we get older.

Today, BOTOX® benefits millions of patients around the globe. In the United States, there have been 12 million BOTOX® procedures performed since it gained federal approval.

Remember that BOTOX® must be prescribed by a doctor, and at Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center we don’t hard sell patients on procedures they don’t need.

How It Works

BOTOX® targets the muscles between your brows. Once injected, BOTOX® can block nerve impulses to muscles, which in turn decreases the muscle movement that leads to unwanted lines.

Can I Receive BOTOX®?

BOTOX® cosmetic is specifically made to help people who want to decrease and reduce the appearance of frown lines that make them look older. BOTOX® is also effective for those who want to get rid of crow’s feet and creases on the forehead. If you have deep lines, you may need additional BOTOX® treatments.

It’s important to remember that BOTOX® can’t help you with every issue that comes with aging. For example, BOTOX® is not meant to treat wrinkles that emerge because of sun damage. BOTOX® does not address the reduction or loss of skin elasticity, which also can take place as we age.

BOTOX® does have other uses, including helping people who suffer from excessive and embarrassing perspiration.

Women who are nursing or pregnant should not have BOTOX®. Also, if you are on certain antibiotics, BOTOX® may not be for you. We will be able to advise you if BOTOX® is right for you after your consultation.

Side Effects

These side effects are minimal and usually disappear quickly.

Other potential BOTOX® side effects can include feeling like you have the flu, drooping near treated areas and respiratory problems. But these side effects are extremely rare.

The vast majority of our patients at Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center report no major side effects and most return for additional BOTOX® treatments.

If you want to look and feel your best and lose unattractive facial wrinkles and lines, contact Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center today. Just a single BOTOX® treatment can begin your journey to a younger-looking you.
